Whats your thoughts on this? If I was Yamaha I think one year would have been enough considering the potential of the Espargargo boys and Valentino's age. If put on the table he still would have signed for 12 months. That would give another year experience for either of the Espargargo's and both will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future if given the right machine.

have a great relationship and have had incredible success together. Rossi is still the best known and most popular motorcycle racer in the world. Having him on your bike and wearing your logo is great advertising even if he's not currently winning.

I also think Yamaha are looking to the long-term future perhaps to keep Rossi in their fold as a talent recruiter or team manager as they did with Ago, Roberts, and Rainey after their racing careers ended.
