I'm

still here. Although I almost got run over by a cyclist doing about 15-20 mph on the pavement about 6 inches from me.

He thanked me for leaping out of the way.

Pricktard.

Hope he hurts himself before he hurts someone else.

I have

no problem with cyclists who obey the rules but those who think they're exempt from red lights and so on really piss me off as they risk other people's lives because "oh it's hard to get back up to speed". Well you chose to ride a bicycle. If you want two wheels and don't want to put the effort it, get a motorbike or an electrically assisted bicycle.

If a bicycle is filtering down the middle of a dual carriageway faster than me I will happily get out of their way but rarely do I get a thanks. I know I'll get past them very soon but if at that point they're faster than me because they're smaller I have no problem with that as long as they're playing by the rules like everyone else. I really am getting more and more towards cycles having registration plates because many of them break rules - we're not talking doing 45 in a 40 which is just hardly anything but we're talking safety critical rules. I was face to face with one today riding against traffic on the road. The police and courts need to clamp down because whilst it's their life that is being put at risk, it's someone else's life that is ruined because they killed someone. And the emergency evasive action you need to take to avoid one of these wankers can easily cost you your life.

But some of them just don't care as long as it's pleasant for them.

What I will add is that I feel that more of them are playing by the rules recently. I don't know why but the vast majority seem to be obeying the law, it's just a minority round here who are pricks.
