Watch wheelie records

1 of 1

More than 100 entrants are expected to compete in the World Wheelie Record Attempts and To Speed Days at Elvington Airfield near York on July 9-11, 2006, and fans can turn up and watch for the first time.

The wheelie attempts will see riders try and beat the current record for a one kilometre wheelie, set at 156.50mph by Terry Calcott in 2005, while the Top Speed Chellenge will have bikes travelling in excess of 230mph. Entrants are expected from all over Europe, including the infamous Ghost Rider.
