Jack Lilley customised Triumph Bonneville SE and Scrambler

Triumph dealer Jack Lilley has completed its latest customised Bonneville one-offs, based on a Bonneville SE and a Scrambler.

A brand-new Bonneville SE – the new-for-2009 interpretation of the 1979 Bonneville T140D with cast wheels – and a Scrambler have been taken apart and rebuilt with subtle but classy modifications before the bikes were even registered.

The Bonneville SE is finished by paint specialists Altamura in unique red/black paint combination with gold coachlines to highlight the design, and the headlight bowl, aftermarket brake reservoir, indicators and rearlight housing are also blacked out to continue the theme.

As standard the wheels are black with polished details, but the Jack Lilley bike’s wheels are all black.

An Arrow 2-2 exhaust is fitted, and the rear shocks are replaced with Hagon units. Tyres are Avon Distanzia – usually a dual purpose tyre, but they give the road-only Bonneville SE a chunkier, fat-tyred look. Fork gaitors, Ascot bars and the complete seat/seat cowl from a café Thruxton complete the look. It’s up for sale for £8999.

The Scrambler is decked out in a purple/white scheme (not dissimilar in hue to the iconic ‘Purple Popsicle Yamaha FS1-E) with stubby alloy front and rear mudguard and Ascot handlebars being the most noticeable changes.

There’s a single seat conversion with a rack replacing the pillion seat, and Hagon enclosed shocks are fitted to the rear. A Lucas-style rear light, black mirrors, smaller alloy indicators and an anodised black brake reservoir are the neat finishing details to this one-off Scrambler.
