Revered Japanese custom builders Zero Engineering are now distributing their bikes throughout Europe, with the help of a UK firm.

Krazyhorse Custom Cycles, of Bury St Edmunds, are responsible for the Japanese firms Euro market, so far selling 35 of the bikes in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and beyond.

Founded in 1993 in Okazaki City, Zero Engineering have spent every year since crafting a limited number of minimalist, award-winning motorcycles.

Paul Beamish of Krazyhorse said of the Japanese bikes’ appeal: “They have their own look, they’re unique things”.

There are currently four models on sale, with prices ranging from £17-£23,000.

The Type 7 (£17000) boasts a 1200cc sportster engine and telescopic forks, while the Type 8 (£18,000) comes with upgraded Springer Forks, a Zero Engineering specialty which they claim improves dampening and stopping power.

The Type 5, meanwhile, is powered by a 1340cc Evolution engine and costs £21000. The Type 5.2 is similar, but comes with an engine colour upgrade, from silver to black and chrome; it costs £23000.
