BMW hunt for most-travelled GS

1 of 1

Know any mega-mile BMW GSs? Has your bike gone right round the clock? If so you could win a prize at next month’s BMW Motorrad Days in the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirche.

BMW’s annual motorcycling festival is this year celebrating the 30th anniversary of the GS by awarding prizes to the oldest, furthest ridden and most innovatively customised GS bikes around.

The victors will receive a cup and a BMW Motorrad equipment voucher for €500, with €250 and €100 vouchers for second and third places, respectively.

Chassis numbers will be used to judge age, and competitors should be prepared to supply evidence backing up the mileage of their bike.

A panel of celebrated GS riders, including Paris-Dakar veterans Jutta Kleinschmidt and Hubert Auriol and TV’s Charley Boorman, will judge customised versions.

BMW Motorrad Days takes place 2 July to 4 July with registration for the GS competitions taking place between 9am and 11am on 3 July.
