Frank Thomas: "future is safe"

The Frank Thomas brand and its kit will live on as if nothing has happened, a spokesman for new owner J&S Accessories has told MCN.

The company, as part of the Thomas Sports Group, was in administration until its purchase by retailer J&S was announced two weeks ago.

John Moir, group general manager of J&S, said: “We’ve spoken with suppliers and we will continue to manufacture Frank Thomas, BKS and Red Route clothing, in the same factories and using the same brand names as before.

“There were rumours we were just going to dump the brands but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We’re even about to start working on the 2012 range for FT.”

As far as warranty issues are concerned, Moir said: “J&S will obviously underwrite any warranty on clothing sold from now through our stores and other dealers, but at the moment the administrators are still working on what the situation would be with warranty claims on FT kit previously sold.

“We’d like to be able to offer a warranty for current owners of the kit but this hasn’t been finalised.”

Frank Thomas kit will continue to be available in stockists up and down the country (there will be a dealer list at www.jsaccessories.co.uk) as well as at J&S shops.
