Video: 'Fastest' trailer

1 of 1

New MotoGP documentary “Fastest” is the latest release from director Mark Neale, and you can watch the trailer below.

Due out in cinemas in September, it follows the 2010 and 2011 seasons of motorcycling’s most celebrated championship. Narrated by Ewan McGregor, the film-makers claim it, “…distills the thrilling, terrifying reality of the MotoGP world championship into a maximum-speed, full-length documentary feature film”.

Acting as a sequel to Neale’s 2003 effort “Faster”, it follows swiftly after “Charge”, the Brit director’s electric TT documentary currently awaiting UK release.

Oh… and watch out for Simoncelli’s 1:32 claim that “…during the race you want to kill the other rider, but after the race you go to drink, have beer together”.

Wonder if he’s offered Dani Pedrosa a San Miguel yet…?

“Chasing his tenth world title, the legendary Valentino Rossi runs into the toughest challenge of his life: a wave of ferociously fast young riders, a horrific, leg-shattering crash at the Italian grand prix, an agonizing comeback forty-one days later in Germany, and the question every rider – even the greatest of all time – must face: who’s fastest now?”
