The Ducati factory in Bologna has been evacuated after being hit by an earthquake earlier today; no damage has been reported and there are no casualties but the entire workforce has been sent home in case of aftershocks.

The Bologna area was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 earlier today, just five months after the region was hit by another earthquake that caused substantial damage.

Ducati spokesman David James tweeted: “Factory shaken by another earthquake. 5.2 near Massa, Lucca. No damage in Borgo Panigale, but everyone sent home.”
