Foggywatch day 1: Foggy makes some slithering new friends!

1 of 2

Former World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty has got himself off to an auspicious opening day in the Jungle as he entered ITV’s “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” The four time champion has already managed to position himself as one of the show favourites after acing the show’s opening challenge.

Originally voted to be sent to the “Celebrity Slammer” jail cell alongside four fellow contestants, he was then broke out by a second team including former MotoGP presenter Melanie Sykes, joining them in the main camp.

However, in the process, he also fell victim to the first “Bush Tucker Trial” of the show, being locked in an underground drain for twelve minutes with 40 pythons! Admitting beforehand that snakes weren’t ‘one of his favourites,’ his competitiveness soon came out, winning easily and securing a meal of wallaby meat for his new team.

However, he did get once last surprise – discovering one snake had sneaked out of the tank inside his shorts! Warning it to leave the wedding tackle alone, he was quick to tuck into dinner after it was removed, admitting that being hungry was the one thing he was dreading over the course of the two week show.

“I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” continues tonight at 9pm on ITV 1.
