Monkey reaches 40

Honda has released a limited-edition version of its evergreen Monkey to celebrate the iconic motorcycle’s 40th anniversary in 2007.

Just 2500 of the limited-edition machines are set to be built, all in black with a red frame and wheels, with a special 40th anniversary badges on the tank, side covers and key.

Although only officially sold in Japan, Monkeys are imported to the UK by several firms such as Monkeybike UK, so there’s a good chance some of the bikes will become available in this country.

In Japan, the limited-edition machine costs less than £1000, but the cost of shipping to the UK means prices tend to be nearer £2000 over here.
