Vote for your worst road in the UK

MCN’s inbox has been swamped with pictures of your tatty tarmac – now we want you to choose the worst and MCN will repair it.

Take a look at these examples of appalling asphalt and vote for your winner. We’ll then arrange for the winner to be fixed with the new bike-friendly road repair system we trialed recently. Click here to see the video.

	Chelmsford, Great Baddow High Street – This road looks like a jig saw with its cracked fault lines and botched repairs. It was nominated by MCN reader Peter Antrobus. Click here to vote for this road
	Cambridge, Newmarket Road – MCN reader Steve Swan reckons this road is Britain’s tattiest tarmac. Swan said: “This road is unlit at night and it’s really hairy when your front wheel slips off the good tarmac. I used to drive a 4×4 and didn’t notice it but on a bike it’s a nightmare.” Click here to vote for this road
	Midhurst, Sussex – On the junction between the A272 and A286 these six inch deep potholes are a biker’s nightmare. Mike Gradwell-Smith who sent us these snaps reckons: “It’s a miracle that nobody has come a cropper”. Click here to vote for this road
	Grimsby, Hainton Avenue – Driving instructor and keen biker Paul de Ste Croix nominated this perilous piece of road. He tells us the road has been like this for six months and is rapidly deteriorating. Click here to vote for this road
	Glasgow, Pollokshaws – Karen Gillies is scared a local biker will have an accident on this awful asphalt because a bike garage is located at one end of the street. She has reported the poor condition to the council on numerous occasions. Click here to vote for this road
	Huddersfield, Leymore Road – This road in central Huddersfield has been falling apart for the last two years according to MCN reader John Rushworth. He says that riding a bike is hairy with the front end swerving all over the place and the braking is made difficult by the loose surface. Click here to vote for this road
	Peterborough, Alwalton – Concerned MCN reader Chris Dolman sent us this snap, joking: “It might look familiar because this pothole is within spitting distance of your office.” Located in the middle of a busy roundabout Dolman thinks we should look no further than our own doorstep for examples of tatty tarmac. 	Manchester, Salford – We couldn’t list this year’s top ten without including last year’s Road of Shame winner. There are nearly 100 separate pot holes on this small inner-city road and despite numerous attempts by the council to fix the road it still continues to crumble. Click here to vote for this road
