No Congestion charge for bikers

News that bikers will not be included in the latest increase in congestion charges around London have been welcomed by campaigners in The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG).

MAG President Ian Mutch told MCN that the plans by Mayor Ken Livingstone came as good news for motorcyclists:  “London’s Motorists have to wake up and smell the coffee. Bikes, with or without engines, can percolate through traffic, utilising spaces that cannot accommodate cars. No matter how efficient some modern cars may be, when stuck in a jam they cover zero miles per gallon.”
