MV F4 312R first ride

Just finished riding the new MV Agusta F4 312R at Monza and it is properly, mentally fast.

The 312 part of the name signifies that it will do 312 kph, about 192 mph and although we couldn’t get near this figure on the track I think given a long stretch of road or runway you could get pretty close to it.

The engine is quite harsh at low revs but as you get faster the engine gets smoother, the exhaust note gets louder and the growl from the air box gets deeper. The final few thousand RPM in each gear it all melts together and it feels like you are floating – an incredible feeling.

The bike is not perfect, the fuelling at low revs isn’t 100% and the bike is heavy in general and heavy to turn. Read more about it in April 4 issue of MCN.
