Hammond's "truly terrible" music debut

Richard Hammond is joining his fellow Top Gear stars in a band for Comic Relief this Friday in what he describes as a “truly f**king terrible performance”.

MCN columnist Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May are barred from revealing any further information about the Comic Relief performance because they don’t want to spoil this surprise part of Top Gear of the Pops – a mixture of Top Gear and Top of the Pops.

Hammond added: “What you are going to witness is the birth and simultaneous death of a new group. I would like to issue a serious health warning about the music. It’s a truly f**king terrible performance.”

The show will be part of the night-long package on BBC this Friday to raise money for Comic Relief.
