Kawasaki Ninja 250R first official picture

1 of 1

Last week we showed you the spy pictures of Kawasaki’s new Ninja 250R – and now we can reveal the finished version of the motorcycle which is set to be officially launched in Paris on Friday.

Developed around a new 249cc parallel twin engine, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R is aimed squarely at riders who’ve passed their tests and stepped up from a 125, but don’t want to leap straight to an expensive, and expensive to insure, 600cc sports motorcycle.

Detailed technical specifications have yet to be announced, but the new machine’s power is expected to be in the region of 45bhp – with the firm saying owners will be surprised by power at high revs – and easily restricted to the 33bhp mark that new riders are limited to for the first two years after passing their tests.

Technical specifications and more pictures will be made available at this week’s launch at the Paris Show – click back to www.motorcyclenews.com/ninja250launch on Thursday evening (September 27, 2007)
