Buell offers fixed-price insurance

Buell has introduced a two-year, fixed price, insurance offer to encourage new riders to buy one of its machines.

The deal provides fully comprehensive cover for £275 per year on all new models purchased from a Buell dealer in the UK, Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Riders in Northern Ireland are included, though the premium is £325 per year. The offer is targeted at riders aged 25-79, and is available until June 30.

Riders must have no more than 6 current penalty points and no driving bans to be eligible. They are allowed to have had one fault- or theft-related claim within the past three years, and the starting date of the insurance must coincide with the registration date of the motorcycle.

The firm is looking to cash in on a predicted surge in the number of new riders during the summer, ahead of the introduction of a tougher motorcycle test early October. The stricter test is likely to cost more than the current test, meaning riders would look to sit a test during the summer months.
