A documentary to be aired on BBC Radio 4 today reveals how Sir Mick Jagger, of the Rolling Stones was the target of an assassination plot by the Hells Angels.

An ex-FBI agent revealed how the motorcycle gang planned to attack Mick Jagger at his holiday home in New York State.

Mick Jagger was targeted after a row with the Hells Angels about security at a Rolling Stones concert. Mick Jagger said he would never use the Hells Angels as security again, after a fan was stabbed to death at a free Rolling Stones concert in 1969.

The Hells Angels planned to attack from the sea, to avoid Mick Jagger’s security. The plan failed after their boat capsized in a storm. All the Hells Angels on board survived.
