KTM has announced that it plans to have this electric enduro motorcycle in production within two years.

The Zero Emissions Motorcycle is the answer to the increasing problems with noise restrictions for off-road racing according to KTM, and the 90kg machine is capable of running for 40 minutes before needing a charge in a race situation.

Charging can be completed in just one hour too.

KTM is keeping detailed performance and specification under wraps, but said the prototype produces 29.5 lb-ft of torque.

KTM’s Harald Ploeckinger said: “Ever more restrictive rules on noise and pollution emissions make all-terrain activity ever more difficult in Europe. So we want to make the practice of this sport easier near city centres and in sports halls.”
