BMW Off Road Skills hosts Fifth Gear off-road challenge

Six-time Dakar competitor and Chief Instructor of BMW Off Road Skills, Simon Pavey, recently invited TV’s Fifth Gear presenters Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell to compete in an off-road challenge at the Walters Arena Enduro Park in south Wales. 

The pair were put through their paces on a series of trails, skill tests and off-road riding manoeuvres, not unlike those experienced by the hundreds of riders who take part in the BMW Off Road Skills course each year.

Tiff and VBH, riding two of BMWs more recent enduro models- the G 650 Xchallenge and G 650 Xcountry– apparently faired pretty well, taking on a series of trials to establish who the ultimate Fifth Gear dirt bike rider was.

Their exploits are set to feature in the next episode of ‘Fifth Gear’, due to be shown on channel five at 8pm on Monday 22nd September.
