Act fast if you want a 2010 ABS Fireblade

86% of 2010 Fireblades will be non-ABS after Honda decided not to up levels of supply significantly from last year.

The decision is likely to lead to firm prices and frustrated demand for the C-ABS-equipped bike, which costs £1000 more than the £9,521 standard bike.

The number of buyers opting for the combined, anti-lock-braking superbike exceeded expectations last year after MCN revealed the bike was faster and safer in the hands of even experienced riders.

Unlike ABS systems familiar from other firms, Honda’s C-ABS cuts in so unobtrusively riders can’t feel it working.

Further MCN tests at the Ron Haslam race school proved it even worked with the bike leaned over.

2010 C-ABS Fireblades will be available in all the new colours, which sadly don’t include the Repsol scheme.
