BMW and Honda ready new scooters for 2012

BMW has confirmed it will be showing two production-ready versions of the Concept C scooter at the Milan show in November.

Details are scarse but it’s thought they will share an all-new 800cc, two-cylinder engine. Insiders insist it won’t be based on the F800 engine.

It’s thought there will be a higher spec version alongside a more basic one with a rumoured price for the top version of about £8700.

Honda is also getting in on the scooter act with the Mid Concept it showed last year. Not much is known about the bike other than Japanese insiders revealing it will be shown in finished form later this year.

There’s no clue to the engine but we know it will look much the same as the concept bike seen at the Milan show last year.
