BMW unveil R nineT in Munich

At a special celebration event currently underway at the BMW Museum in Munich, BMW Motorrad has just unveiled the new R nineT classic roadster on stage.

Created to mark and celebrate nine decades of BMW motorcycles, beginning with the R32 in 1923, BMW claim that the R nineT “harks back to the true to the spirit of classic BMW motorcycles and café-racers, encouraging customisation and personalisation”.

A large number of configuration options and aftermarket accessories, letting owners make their bike with factory parts, will also be available.

BMW will not confirm he UK price until Motorcycle Live, but we expect it to be somewhere around the £11,000 mark, only marginally more expensive than the R1200R.

See the full story of the R nineT, and BMW Motorrad, in MCN’s exclusive BMW 90th Anniversary Special Issue – on sale Wednesday 23 October.

BMW has just released this promotional video for the R nineT.
