Motorcyclists cannot park

Why is this? What is so hard about parking your bike in an efficient and considerate manner that bikers find impossible?

Near my work there are 3 bike bays capable of holding 15 bikes in total. But they rarely hold more than 9 because bikers round here seem to be a bit too dim in the parking stakes.

Either they park at 45 degrees, right across the bay, somewhere in the middle or on their centre stand (on a hill!) despite the fact that everyone else uses their side-stand (hill – duh!).

It’s not hard is it? You park at the extreme edge of the bay, the next to arrive parks beside you and so on.

Why be the only bike parked at a strange angle in the middle of the bay? Why hog so much space that a bay for 5 bikes can only hold 3? Do these people think? Do they care? Obviously not.

Bike spaces are limited – it’s high time bikers showed some consideration for each other by the simply learning how to park! Perhaps they should add that to the new test.
