Ross Noble's Sit Down Tour: Thruxton and Welsh dragons

Comedian, bike enthusiast and enduro racer Ross Noble took the 500,000th Triumph built at the Hinckley factory on a tour of the UK in May to commemorate half a million bikes being produced at the Leicestershire factory.

Noble rode the custom-painted Speed Triple around the UK guided entirely by suggestions posted by followers of his Twitter page (@realrossnoble). After the tour the bike was auctioned at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with all proceeds going to the charity Riders for Health.

In the third instalment, the tour travels to Andover where Ross rides a special Thruxton around a wet Thruxton circuit.

The Ace 904 Thruxton Special, owned and built by T3 Racing owner Tony Scott, in collaboration with the Ace Cafe London and the Stonebridge Motor Company, was stripped down and rebuilt with trick components, with only the frame and engine used from the original bike.

After some laps in the rain on Scott’s special Thruxton, Ross receives the offer of a cup of tea and the chance to meet a real Welsh dragon at Pets at Home in Bridgend.

Having “tamed the beasts” of Bridgend, the tour rolls on to the Brecon Beacons where the Tiger camera bike is equipped with some knobbly tyres ready for some off-road action.
