Aprilia RSV4 exhaust announced before the bike's out

Aprilia‘s hugely anticipated flagship V4 isn’t even due to be launched for another month but Leo Vince have already announced an aftermarket slip-on.

Leo Vince supply full booming race systems for the teams including the Gresini Honda MotoGP squad and Leon Haslam’s Stiggy Honda World Superbike team.

Styling and technology gained from top flight racing gets carried directly down to the road kit, and as you can see from the pictures this GP Pro slip-on that’s already on sale in the US for the RSV4 looks very much like the silencer used on Toni Elias and Alex De Angelis’ 800cc MotoGP Hondas.

They claim to shave up to 6kg off the original exhaust weight but performance figures haven’t yet been hinted at.

The finish will be top notch however with a section-welded stainless canister that has a curve in the baffle near the canister inlet and another curve at the top close to the exit of the canister providing a Z-type shape and the closest appearance to a real MotoGP exhaust.

The GP Pro is priced at around the £400 mark in the US at the moment, but a UK price hasn’t yet been announced.
