BMW unveils System 6 flip front helmet

BMW is taking the strain out of flip-front helmets, with what it says is its lightest and quietest flip front helmet yet.

The System 6 has a glass-fibre shell that’s available in two sizes – a 1570 gram small, and 1670 gram large – and uses advanced aerodynamics to reduce wind noise.

An extra strap around the base of the lid attaches to the regular chin strap to stop it twisting during crashes.

It will launch in the spring, costing £325 for plain colours and £355 for patterns. Contact BMW dealers for more details.
