In the pink: helmets for women

1 of 6

OK, we know not all women want to wear pink, but manufacturers are now clearly thinking of women riders and pillions when it comes to their paintschemes. Here’s three that are guaranteed to keep the more girly of girls in the pink.

Duchinni D701

SHARP rating: 4
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Three plain colours (black, white or silver) plus four multi-coloured options.
Shell: Thermoplastic
Price: £49.99
Contact: www.bifax.co.uk
We say: Featuring the same liner and visor spec as the firm’s D801, this lid does have a different style to its venting, and comes in marginally cheerier colours. It’s still a lot of helmet for 50 quid.

Nitro N330VX

SHARP rating: 2
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Several multi-coloured options, including a pink one (pictured).
Shell: Thermoplastic
Price: £49.99
Contact: www.nitro-helmets.com
We say: Nitro’s basic helmet is approved for track use. It features chin and crown vents,  a ratchet-style visor system and seatbelt-style buckle closure. One of the cheapest helmets available with a SHARP rating, albeit a relatively low one. A very tidy lid for the price.

Viper RS-V66

Contact: www.motohart.co.uk
We say:
