Kappa launches range of bags

1 of 9

Luggage firm Kappa has launched a range of bags and cases designed to appeal as much to the urban commuter as they do the long-distance tourer or sports-bike rider.

The firm produces luggage for scooters and motorcycles, and tailors each design to the bike. All the luggage features Kappa’s patented Monokey and Monolock fitments, which means just one key is needed to lock the bags, and to secure them to your bike.

Kappa’s latest range comprises tank bags, laptop bags, and rucksacks. Here’s a selection of the latest luggage.

1. TK726 soft top case
£102
A semi-rigid trolley for your laptop finished in imitation leather and nylon. The bag features a front pocket to carry wires and accessories, with the main compartment used for the laptop PC. Basic capacity is 15 litres, though the storage can be expanded with an additional PC bag that attaches to the trolley handle.

2. TK724 tank bag
£50
An unusually-shaped 19-litre tankbag for sportsbikes, featuring a removable pocket with shoulder strap at the back. The bag attaches using magnets, has a map pocket on the top, and comes with a rain cover.

3. TK733 tank bag
£65
Expanding tank bag that can be attached to the tank using magnets or straps if your tank is made of plastic. The upper side of the bag can be removed, while a handle on the side allows it to be used as off-bike luggage. Capacity is 25 litres when folded, or 29 litres when expanded.

4. TK734 mini tank bag
£35
A miniature tank bag offering 8 litres of storage when fully expanded, or 6-litres when folded. The bag features a pocket designed to take a sat-nav unit on top that comes with straps to tie down a wide range of navigation devices.

5. TK731 saddle bags
£84
A pair of throw-over panniers sporting a thermal pocket specifically designed to carry food and drink. Each bag measures 47x26x22cm when folded, or 47x26x31cm when expanded, while storage grows from 17-litres folded to 30-litres. Each bag features polyurethane inserts to protect your kit, and a rubber carry handle.

6. TK719 rucksack
£55
A 25-litre rucksack made from nylon and designed for carrying a laptop PC. Thermoformed inserts provide the protection for your computer, with various compartments built-in to carry other PC-related kit.

7. TK730 rucksack
£36
More of shoulder bag than a full-blown rucksack, the bag offers 3-litres capacity, and features a variety of compartments, including an out port for MP3 headphones. Watertight zips should ensure it keeps your gubbins dry too.

8. TK725 tunnel bag
£47
Soft bag designed to fit the central tunnel on larger scooters. The bag attaches using adjustable Velcro straps, and comes with a shoulder strap for when you’re off the bike. Capacity is 22.5 litres, and the bag measures 35.5×24.5x26cm.
