Ohlins elite MX forks now available to the masses

Aftermarket suspension specialist Ohlins has released details of a new range of over the counter motocross suspension that, until now, has only been available to top flight race teams.

Heading up the list are premium replacement 48mm front fork units with a starting price of £2414. Like all the Swedish company’s suspension, the forks feature trademark aluminium gold-anodised outer tubes, while the 48mm leg tubes wear Diamond-Like-Coating (DLC).

Internally, the forks have updated 2011 Ohlin’s TTX (Twin Tube) cartridges, while the tubes run through low friction seals and bushes to reduce friction.

The forks are a direct result of development with factory-supported teams including 2010 MX2 British Motocross Champion Zach Osborne.

Also available are Ohlins replacement TTX22 fork cartridges. The new cartridges replace the standard factory units on many of today’s 250/450cc MX machines and give a greater range of damping to suit differing track conditions and riding styles by way of rebound and damping adjustment.

Prices start at £953. A similar cartridge kit is also available for the 85/150cc MX class, prices from £934.
