Which springs to upgrade my FJR’s forks?

Q. I want to uprate the front fork springs on my FJR1300A (2008 plate) as I’m finding it too soft fully-loaded.

The brand names I’ve heard of don’t do replacement uprated springs for my year of bike.

A. Hyperpro (www.performanceparts-ltd.com) offer a replacement set that comes with detailed fitting instructions for about £120-130. They recommend that you go for heavier weight fork oil, up to 20 weight, but with a larger air gap.

They also junk the 150mm spacers for longer springs. This means you can have the preload set on minimum riding solo.
