Carmichael and Vuillemin lead title charge

Ricky Carmichael and David Vuillemin have emerged as the main contenders for the AMA supercross title. With seven rounds down, each has won three races

Carmichaal won Saturday’s event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Honda team-mate Ernesto Fonseca second. Third went to Yamaha’s David Vuillemin riding for Yamaha.

Chad Reed won his second consecutive 125 East Main event.Grant Langston finished second, with his KTM team-mate Steve Boniface taking the final spot on the podium.

Mike LaRocco broke his wrist during the event while Honda’s Sebastien Tortelli is back after recovering from off-season surgery. He finished eighth in front of a crowd of more than 54,000.
