Karl Harris hammered out a warning to his British Supersport rivals after topping the supersport times at Donington on his new Honda CBR600RR. He was a second inside the lap record and beat the best of his rivals by over half a second, clocking a best of 1:11.73.

Tom Sykes, runner-up in last year’s British Junior Superstock, was a surprise second quickest on his NorthPoint Racing Yamaha R6, with WSB refugee Mark Heckles third on his World Supersport Honda CBR600RR.

Defending champion Stuart Easton wound up fourth on the MonsterMob Ducati 748 admitting that, ” It’s going to be a tough season. ”

Rob Frost struggled to find a good chassis set-up with the MSS Kawasaki ZX-6RR. He was also handicapped by using a stock engine while his full race engines were back at the workshop undergoing final preparation for Silverstone.
