Chili on WSB Fireblade

After months of rumours Frankie Chili has finally confirmed that he will be riding a Fireblade in World Supebikes this year.

The Italian was forced to abandon the Ducati 998/999 hybrid he ran last year after his then team PSG-1 chose to run Kawasakis without consulting him. Chili left the team after nine years on Ducatis and will now ride with the factory supported Klaffi Honda team.

“In the course of my career I experienced many Ups and Downs,” said Chili. “Many times nobody believed in me, but I always did it again and again. Joining the Klaffi Honda Team gives a great chance for me to reach out and try for the Superbike Championship again. Honda and Klaus Klaffenböck did their best to make this possible.”

Klaffi Honda took sixth place in the Supersport championship last year but will make the move to superbikes in 2005 with Chili as their main rider, supported by Max Neukirchner and Tatu Lauslehto.
