BSB Mallory Park: Sunday Morning warm-up

1 of 1

Tommy Hill topped the times in a slightly damp warm-up session at Mallory Park this morning where, with spots of rain in the air, lap times were three seconds down initially from those set in qualifying yesterday. However, the track continually dried up as the session wore on and, despite only completing six laps, Hill’s time of 56.924s saw him go top.

Leon Camier, who took the unusual, for him, step of making some suspension changes for the warm-up session, waited until the final three minutes before taking to the track although he only needed two laps to jump up the leaderboard into second, just 0.074s behind Hill whilst team-mate James Ellison, who struggled with rear grip in qualifying, took third on the second Airwaves Yamaha.

Josh Brookes, who endured similar problems to Ellison yesterday afternoon, was back to form this morning and ended up fourth with the Motorpoint/Henderson Yamaha duo of Graeme Gowland and Chris Walker in fifth and sixth.
