Redline KTM for Edmeades in BSB Evo

The KTM RC8R that James Edmeades will race in BSB Evo this year will be relying on the same bolt-on bits from the Power Parts catalogue that any KTM owner can buy -according to Redline KTM dealership owner Tim Walker.

“We might not have the most horsepower in the class but we have a good package,” he said.

“We’ll be using a lot of equipment from the KTM Power Parts catalogue: WP fork internals, factory WP shock, fairings etc.

“We’ll run PVM wheels though and, of course, the class has a control ECU from Motec.”

The team, with official support from KTM UK and the factory in Austria, are in talks with the IDM (German superbike) KTM team, who will help with technical information.

They finished second in the IDM last year, which run similar engines rules to ours – though the electronics are free while the chassis rules are more restrictive.

”Evo is a great opportunity for us to get into BSB,” said Walker.

“KTM UK and Austria are right behind us because it’s important to promote the road bike.

“It’s a tough challenge for us all but I think our bike gets off corners well but we’re doing all we can, James is training hard, and we’ll be giving out best.”
