Jessopp WSS switch to PTR Honda

Martin Jessopp has blamed the BSB change of rules to a spec Motec ECU for his decision to quit the British series and sign for the PTR Honda team alongside Sam Lowes in World Supersport.

The 26-year-old from Yeovil will ride alongside another new signing 18-year-old American ‘PJ’ Patrick Jacobsen in the PTR Honda team with British Supersport champion Sam Lowes and another rider to be announced later.

Jessopp said: “Once I’d decided I’d wanted to race in World Supersport, I talked things over with my team. We wanted a squad at the sharp end of the championship. I wanted to know I had a good bike and a proven package.

“PTR was my number one choice and to get a ride with them was brilliant – it’s not often that a racer gets his first choice, so I could not be happier.”
