Snetterton revamp underway

The major £3.5m Snetterton revamp is well underway to create a very new look for the Norfolk circuit which MotorSport Vision boss Jonathan Palmer has said will make it the most exciting circuit in the UK for racers and spectators alike.

Redevelopment only started in November but, as the photos released by MSV show, work is already at an advanced stage to ensure the new-look circuit is completed by the start of the new season at the end of March.

Snetterton will in future offer three circuit options:

Snetterton 300: The full 2.99mile course, making it the second longest permanent circuit in the UK, and the probable home to BSB in future, as well as leading club races.

Snetterton 200: Virtually the same as the existing course – but with the addition of the Turn 2 Hairpin and the radically revamped Russells to give a 2.0mile course.

Snetterton 100: The 0.98mile extension can be used for track days and one of Palmer’s ideas is that spectators can ride their own bikes on the loop, while club races run concurrently on the 200 course.
