Brands Hatch BSB: Lowes snatches pole position

WFR Honda rider Alex Lowes has taken the final pole position of the season after holding off Showdown leader Shane Byrne during qualifying.

Lowes crashed in the morning’s free practice session, but bounced back to secure his fourth pole position of the season.

Team-mate James Westmoreland set the third fastest time, with Buildbase BMW’s Barry Burrell occupying the final space on the front row in fourth.

Samsung Honda rider Michael Laverty heads the second row ahead of Josh Brookes and Tommy Hill. All three will be hoping for a good start to keep their championship hopes alive.

Karl Harris impressed during qualifying to set the eighth fastest time on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki despite a low speed tumble when he ran ride suring the first qualifying session.
