Cadwell BSB: War for four back in action at Party in the Park

1 of 2

The MCE British Superbike War for Four was fully underway this afternoon at Cadwell Park’s bank holiday special event, with Ryuichi Kiyonari and Shane Byrne making it one apiece in the opening two sessions of the weekend.

Kiyonari was the front runner in free practice one, leading the session for almost the entirety, while fellow triple champion Byrne hitback in the second session to dip the lap times to near the outright lap record set by Alex Lowes.

Dan Linfoot continued to show his new-found podium pace, finishing FP2 in third, ahead of veteran Chris Walker and Josh Brookes, struggling with technical problems on the Milwaukee Yamaha.

However, the weekend ended unexpectedly early for Jakob Smrz, with the Czech rider falling heavily, breaking his wrist in the second of two crashes and forcing himself out of the remainder of the weekend.
