Former MCE British Superbike Cup winner Gary Mason has announced a fulltime return to the series after his wildcard appearance at Brands Hatch, as he makes the move from Anvil Hire TAG Kawasaki to the Tsingtao WK Kawasaki team.

After sitting out the 2013 season, the former BSB podium finisher returned for a one-off at Brands Hatch two round ago to deputise for the injured Mitchell Carr, finishing a strong eleventh in race two after a race one DNF.

However, he’s now set to see out the rest of the season with Tsingtao Kawasaki, filling the seat vacated first by Jon Kirkham and then by Harry Hartley.

Mason said: “I am looking forward to getting back on track at Oulton Park this weekend. This deal has come together for the remainder of the season and it gives me a chance to chip away at each round and build on my future for next year. I worked with members of this team when I was with MSS in 2011, which was a fairly good season, so I am looking forward to getting back into it again this weekend.

“I missed racing in the Championship too much and coming back recently made me realise that. I race because I love it and I want get that grin back on my face this weekend. I am just going to jump in there, have a good go and just keep trying to move forward.”
