MotoGP testing starts in Jerez

MotoGP’s top men and teams are back out riding today, at the start of the last major test of the year.

A two-month testing ban follows this week’s action, which will keep them off track until February.

Valentino Rossi is back from his rallying to get stuck into the new M1 800.

Meanwhile following on the from the last Sepang test all eyes will be on Dani Pedrosa and Honda to see if the apparent lack of speed of the new V4 RCV is still evident at tighter Jerez.

Suzuki dominated the Sepang test, though we will see if their speed was down to Bridgestone’s expertise at Sepang rather than the bike.

Ducati, the pace-setters in the new 800 class prior to Sepang, will be back too: they missed Malaysia.
