Oulton Park British Superbikes: Jonathan Rea jumps up timesheets for session two

Jonathan Rea’s confidence returned in the second free practice session for the British Superbikes at Oulton Park this afternoon. 

The HM Plant Honda rider recorded a best time of 1:45.431 just over 0.4secs quicker than second placed Karl Harris.

Harris, who was the fastest man this morning on his Honda managed to knock three seconds off his best time from earlier for a 1:45.902.

Once again Airwaves Ducati’s Leon Haslam was third fastest with a best of 1:46.887, recorded on the last of his 17 laps. He was more than two and a half seconds quicker than this morning.

Leon Camier slid down the order from sixth earlier to 12th in the second practice. His best time was two seconds slower than earlier at 1:52.790.

On a whole the times were improved by at least two seconds by most riders on their second outing on the Cheshire circuit of the weekend.
