Padgetts Motorcycles rider Dennis Hobbs took the honours at Oulton Park today (Monday) following a race-long battle with Relentless Suzuki’s Ian Lowry.

Lowry had the upper hand following this morning’s warm-up, but in the race it was a different story for Hobbs who managed to make his pole position work in his favour to win the Maxxis British Supersport race.

Also fighting all the way but having to settle for the final podium spot was Brands Hatch and Thruxton winner, Michael Laverty.

Laverty took an early lead and pulled away by more than a second and a half, but his lead was soon pulled in as Hobbs came hunting for victory.

Stuart Aston, Billy McConnell and Guy Sanders were not far behind, although it all went wrong for Easton on the third lap as he missed lost 10 places on lap three when he missed the chicane.
