Brands Hatch World Superbikes: Troy Bayliss takes pole for Brands Hatch WSB clash

Troy Bayliss backed up his good performance in qualifying this morning by taking pole position in today’s Superpole session.

The Australian Ducati Xerox rider put in a lap time of 1’25.656 in order to secure his place at the front of the grid in tomorrow’s Brands Hatch World Superbike clash. Second place went to Noriyuki Haga, with Kiyonari rounding out the top three on his Honda CBR1000R.

Czech rider Jakub Smrz claimed 4th place for the Guandalini Racing team with a time of 1’25.960, closely followed by Troy Corser on his Yamaha Motor Italia WSB team YZF-R1.

British wildcard rider Tom Sykes put in an impressive ride to take 6th place with a time of 1’26.166 on his Suzuki GSX-R1000.
