Brands Hatch British Superbikes: Sublime Karl Harris tops free practice two

1 of 1

Karl Harris romped to the top of the timesheets in free practice two at Brands Hatch this afternoon.

Setting the pace early, Harris set a time of 46.194 just 10 minutes in to the session, and that time stood until there were just 10 minutes remaining.

It was only when Leon Haslam was able to better Harris’ time with a 46.088 that the Sheffield rider was deposed from first position.

That was until, Harris responded with a 45.993 which took him to first place where he stayed for the remainder of the session.

With 8 minutes left in the session, Leon Camier put in a lap which lept him from ninth in the charts to eighth.

Then on the following lap, Camier continued his run and jumped from eighth to sixth on his Airwaves Ducati.

Despite Tom Sykes’ best efforts, he could only manage a best time of 46.786, which placed him in eighth place, just ahead of Relentless Suzuki’s, Michael Laverty.

Just 3 minutes remained in the session, when Cal Crutchlow high-sided at Druids,  meaning he finished the session half a second a drift of Harris, with a best time of 46.518.
