Motegi MotoGP: Di Meglio takes 125GP pole

Current 125GP championship leader Mike Di Meglio has taken his first ever pole position at Motegi, Japan with a best time of 1.58.678.

Alongside Di Meglio on the front row will be Stefan Bradl and young Spaniard Nicolas Terol. Nicolas Terol was on form for pole position late on, but he had a big moment which lost him time.

Rounding out the front row is Sandro Cortese of the Caffe Latte team.

Current 125GP champion Gabor Talmacsi could only manage the fifth best time, and he joins Brit Scott Redding on the second row, along with Dominique Aegerter and Pol Espargaro.

Fellow Brits Bradley Smith and Danny Webb qualified 14tha nd 18th respectively.
