Warren on pole for Silverstone Superstock

Sam Warren annexed pole position in a damp and gloomy second qualifying session at Silverstone this evening, riding his Midland Motorsport Honda.

His best time of 2:39.36 was just 0.08s ahead of BMW rider Jon Kirkham.

Glen Richards sits third on the Padgetts Honda only 0.133s further back and BSB star Josh Brookes completed the front row in a rare outing on the HM Plant Honda  superstock bike. He slid off at Copse but remounted to finish the session.

Two more BSB stars will start from the second row, Simon Andrews posted fifth fastest time on the Blackhorse Kawasaki normally ridden by Conor Cummins who was injured in the Senior TT. 

Michael Rutter posted seventh fastest time on the Riders BMW, with Jentin BMW man Richard Cooper just ahead of him in sixth. Leon hunt completed the second row.

Howie Mainwaring, Scott Smart, John McGuinness and Jame Hillier completed the third row. 

The first Superstock race takes place tomorrow evening (Saturday), starting at 16.25. the second race is on Sunday, starting at 15.30.
