Sepang MotoGP: Pedrosa eases to victory

1 of 1

Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa bounced back from his Aragon crash to take victory at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.

The Spaniard got a good start from the second row and didn’t waste his time passing Jorge Lorenzo to take the lead. Once in the lead Pedrosa eased out a comfortable gap to cross the line first by almost three seconds.

Second place went to Marc Marquez after a hard fought battle with Jorge Lorenzo which saw the pair touch. Lorenzo finished third.

Despite a front row start Valentino Rossi was unable to keep pace with the leading trio, finsihing fourth.

Cal Crutchlow was also unable to capitalise on a front row start – the Tech 3 rider got a poor start and had to battle back from seventh. Crutchlow became embroiled in a battle for fifth with Alvaro Bautista, but the Brit lost out and finished sixth ahead of Bradley Smith.
