NW200: Seeley in second group start

1 of 1

A steward’s meeting at the Vauxhall International North West 200 has decided that Alastair Seeley will start on the 4th row of Group B in the Supersport races and on the 2nd row of Group B in the Superbike races at this year’s event.

The decision was made after Seeley failed to qualify during Tuesday’s dry practice after he struck machine problems. Thursday’s practice was wet preventing him from posting any faster times.

The Carrickfergus man, who won three races at last year’s event, will ride a GearLink Kawasaki in the Supersport class on Thursday and Saturday and a MSS Colchester Kawasaki ZX10 in the Superbike races on Saturday.

The 33 year old, who is currently leading the British Supersport championship, is on pole position on a MSS Colchester Kawasaki ZX10 in Thursday and Saturday’s Superstock races.
